Patan
Hospital is one of the three major general hospitals located in
urban Kathmandu and serves patients from around the kingdom of Nepal.
It is 251-bedded hospitals and has medical service of general medicine,
surgery, ob/gyn, pediatrics, ICU, emergency, orthopedics and dentistry.
It has a board consisting representatives from the government, UMN
and community leaders. It has 560 staff, including 10 expatriates.
Patan Hospital was built in 1982, which is formerly known as Shanta
Bhawan Hospital. The daily out patient visit ranges from 7-8 hundred.
